We are a peace and justice church. We practice nonviolence. Our congregation sponsors immigrant families seeking refugee and asylum status. Our members write letters to prisoners on death row. We collect clothing and cases of water and deliver them to the Navajo Nations.
AllianceQ has recognized us as an Open and Affirming Congregation since 2012. We believe that all people are beloved children of God. We welcome LGBTQ+ people into membership and leadership. Our ministers officiate at traditional and same-sex weddings. http://disciplesallianceq.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/A-Church-that-Welcomes-Everyone.pdf
Spirituality is about opening ourselves up to God and our neighbor so that the Spirit can flow through us. We pray for God to transform us on an individual level, awakening us to the sacred all around us, and on a societal level, experiencing the kingdom of God. We deepen our spirituality through the ministries of worship, education, fellowship and mission.
